SHL Student Blogs

This blog shows the creative work of students in Spanish 218, 228 and 308, which are part of the Spanish Heritage Language (SHL) program at the University of Oregon. Students in SHL not only explore the different realities and social dynamics of people in diverse Spanish- speaking cultures in contact with other languages and cultures, but also they discuss and introspectively examine their personal experiences, attitudes and perceptions. The classes focus on students’ expression of personal identity as members of a Spanish-language heritage community in the U.S and formal investigation of topics related to sociolinguistics.
