Quebec poet, novelist and feminist theorist NICOLE BROSSARD will be visiting the U of O on April 18 and 19 along with Susanne de Lotbinière-Harwood, one of her translators. Together the two women will host a pair of public talks on the U of O campus. Both talks are free and open to the public!
On Thursday, April 18 between 4:00 and 6:00 in the Knight Library Browsing Room, Brossard and de Lotbinière will each give a public lecture and then writer and translator will engage in a conversation together. A buffet reception will follow.
On Friday, April 19 between 2:30 and 4:00 in the EMU Mills International Center there will be a bilingual reading of Brossard’s work, with refreshments and book-signing. These visits are organized in coordination with the spring-term graduate seminar RL 623 on Literary Translation.
