PLE Spanish Positions in English as a Language Learner (ELL) Schools

1. Go to the INFORMATIONAL MEETING which is held during the 1st week of class and near the end of the quarter.
2. Register for the class at the meeting.
3. If you would like to work for the 4J school district, you must have a Criminal Background Check form filled out. It takes 1 1/2-2 weeks to process so it is a good idea to do it now. The forms are found on Blackboard. (On the form, please indicate whether you want to be in Elementary, Middle School or High School). You can turn in your Criminal Background Check the following ways:
    a. By Fax. The number is 687-3691.
    b. Through the mail. The adddress is 200 North Monroe St. Eugene, Oregon 97402
    c. In person: You can drop it off to Nicole Quirke (quirke_n@4j.lane.edu) at 200 North Monroe St. in Eugene. She is located  in the 4j school building at the end of North Monroe.

4. Contact Debi Starr at starr@4j.lane.edu. She will assign you a school.
5. Contact the teacher present yourself as a bilingual volunteer with the PLE program at the University of Oregon. Set up a time to meet with him/her.
6. Fill out the U of O PLE agreement form and have the teacher and you sign it. Make sure to record your hours of work and have your employer sign the time sheet

  2. Register for the class at the meeting.
