Poetry, Latin American Literature, Southern Cone, Anarchist Theory, Globalization, Theories of the Avant-Garde, Shamanism.

Literature and Democratic Transition (SPAN 410), Survey on Spanish-American Literature (pre-Hispanic and Colonial period SPAN 318, and 19th and 20th century literature, SPAN 319), Survey of Peninsular Spanish Literature (19th and 20th century literature, SPAN 317), Hispanic Identities (SPAN 301), and Chilean Poetry—taught as a visiting faculty in the Northwest Coalition of Study Abroad (NCSA) and AHA International Academic Program in Chile, Universidad Austral de Chile, Valdivia, 2004.
