Research and teaching interests:
Harinder is interested in teaching languages and yoga because they both bring a transformational experience in individuals' lives. As a langauge teacher, besides teaching Italian, she is interested in giving the students the study skills they need to become independent learners. She is also interested in integrating information technology in classrooms and is working on developing a website for her courses. She uses her background as a yoga teacher to incorporate yogic breathing techniques in her classes to help students with anxiety and problems of low energy.
