Ph.D. in Romance Languages, University of Oregon (in progress), M.A. in Italian with minor in Critical Theory, Florida State University (2004), B.A. in Italian with minor in English and American Literature, University of South Florida (2002).

Research and teaching interests:
Medieval Italian and Iberian Literature with Emphasis on Comic Poetry, Medieval History, Humor Studies, Philosophy and Ethics, Modern Comparative Literature, Pirandello, Film Studies and Theater.

Courses taught:
Ital 317 (Survey of Italian Medieval and Renaissance Literature), Ital 151 (Italian Cinema) including “Commedia all’italiana,” “Horror-Giallo,” and “Spaghetti Western” movies; Ital 101, 102, 103 (Beginning), 201, 202, 203 (Intermediate), 307 (Oral Skills), and intensive and accelerated summer courses in Italian.
