All graduating Rom Lang, Span, Fren, & Ital Majors and Minors:

Main Graduation Ceremony:
The main graduation ceremony will take place on Monday, June 14th, 2010, in McArthur Court (campus map).  The time of the main ceremony will be announced later this fall.

Foreign Languages and Comparative Literature Ceremony:
The RL Departmental graduation ceremony is at time TBA on Monday, June 14th, 2009, in the Student Recreation Center (campus map).  No tickets are required.

Important Dates:
TBA: Deadline for Regalia Orders (Graduate Students and Faculty)
TBA:  Last day of Classes for Spring Term
TBA: Last day of Final Exams for Spring Term
Monday, June 14th: Commencement!!!  Main Ceremony: TBA- Mac Court.  RL Dept. Ceremony: TBA- Student Rec Center.

 **All student intending on graduating at the conclusion of the Spring 2010 term must register for graduation in DuckWeb by a date in late April, 2010.  The exact deadline to apply for graduation will be announced later this fall. Once you have registered in DuckWeb, you will automatically be included in the Spring 2010 Commencement Ceremonies.**

Frequently Asked Questions:

I'm not graduating until Summer or Fall of 2010, but may I participate in the Spring ceremony?
Students who have applied on time for graduation in spring term will have their names printed in the commencement program and are welcome to attend the ceremony, where their names will be read as they walk across the stage.

Students who are graduating in the summer or at a later date are welcome to "walk" in the ceremony, but their names will NOT be printed in the program, although it will be called as they walk across the stage.

I graduated in the Fall of 2009 or Winter of 2010.  Can I come to the ceremony?
Yes!  The commencement program will inlcude the names of all graduating majors from the Fall 2008, Winter 2009, and Spring 2009 terms.   In addition to having your name printed in the catalog, your name will called out as you walk across the stage if you are in attendance on the 13th.

How many guests can I bring to graduation?
All family members and friends are welcome to attend the ceremony. There is no limit on the number of guests and tickets are not needed.  Guests will be allowed to sit on a first-come-first-serve basis at both the main ceremony and the RL ceremony.

I applied to graduated in DuckWeb.  Is there anything else I need to do?
No!  Once you have applied to graduate in DuckWeb your name and information will automatically be included in the commencement ceremony program.  (However, you do need to order your graduation regalia . . . .)

I am graduating with a minor in SPAN/ITAL/FR, can I come to the RL ceremony?
Yes!  You are welcome to come the the RL ceremony if you have a minor in one of our three languages.  Only graduating majors will be participating in the ceremony itself.  Students with minors will NOT have their name included in the printed catalog, nor will they be allowed to walk across the stage.  However, you are invited to enjoy the graduation cake and lemonade that will be on hand.
